Chinese SAT II Home Review Now Available, Testing in November

22 June 2009, Rowland Heights, Calif., USA – A children’s Chinese bookstore is reminding high school student that Chinese SATs are only held during November and therefore should take steps to prepare as early as now.

ChildBook.com reminds high school students that the Chinese SAT II this year will only be held on November 9, 2009.  To assist the young people to review and get exemplary scores for the test, ChildBook is making available to the public the reviewer entitled “Chinese SAT II”.

ChildBook is accommodating the demand for reviewers this summer break as the long vacation is the perfect time for young people to review. At this time, school work load is much lighter compared to when simultaneously studying and reviewing during the academic year.

The SAT Subject Test in Chinese is an 85-item multiple choice test that measure a student’s knowledge of the Chinese language.  Students who have 2 to 4 years of Chinese instruction and practice are encouraged to take the test.

The “Chinese SAT II” reviewer is compiled by the Association of Northern California of Chinese Schools.  Practice tests for reading, listening and usage are included.  The reviewer set contains 2 books and 2 audio CDs.  It also contains tips on how to score high in the SAT II.

The SATs measure the proficiency of high school students in different subject areas.  Almost all colleges and universities in the US consider SAT scores in the admission process.

Deadline of registration for taking the SAT Subject Test in Chinese is on October 9, 2009.  Contact your local College Board office for more details.

June 11, 2009; Rowland Heights, Calif. USA – As high school kids are taking the SATs nationwide this June, A Learn-Chinese bookstore for kids is offering Chinese SAT II reviewer tests in time for the SAT Subject Testing on November.

Childbook.com is offering the public “Chinese SAT II,” a reviewer compiled by the Association of Northern California of Chinese Schools.

Students with at least 2 to 4 years of Chinese courses in high school or equivalent, and continuous gradual practice of the language are encouraged to take the test.  The SAT Subject Test in Chinese exam is an 85-item multiple choice test with questions to test knowledge of spoken and written Mandarin Chinese in the context of contemporary Chinese culture.

ChildBook is encouraging high school juniors and seniors to further sharpen their Chinese proficiency during this summer break with “Chinese SAT II” Reviewer.

The “Chinese SAT II” Reviewer contains practice tests for Reading and Listening Comprehension, and Usage in Chinese.  The “Chinese SAT II” Review Set contains two books and 2 audio CDs.  The Usage portion is  presented in four different writing systems: Traditional Characters, Simplified Characters, Pinyin Romanization, and Chinese Phonetic Alphabet (Bo Po Mo Fo).  The Reading Comprehension portion is presented in two writing systems:  Traditional Characters and Simplified Characters.  The Listening Comprehension portion is in Mandarin Chinese.  This study guide also has tips on how to score high on the SAT II Subject Test in Chinese.

The SAT (formerly Scholastic Aptitude Test and Scholastic Assessment Test) is a test that measures the proficiency of high school students in different subject areas.

Almost all colleges in the US accept the SAT in the admission process of freshmen. The test is also a good indicator for colleges to flag what areas a student will thrive in, and what career options are viable for the student.  The SAT contains tests in reading, writing and mathematics; while the SAT II or SAT subject tests measure knowledge in specific subject areas, such as sciences and languages.  SAT II is the basis of colleges for course placement of students.

The Chinese SAT II test is on November 7, 2009.  Deadline of registration is October 9, 2009.
